No Data Centers in Richmond: Rally + City Council Meeting
September 15 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Join CBE, our partners, and Richmond community members on Tuesday, September 15 as we rally at City Hall to urge the Richmond City Council to pass a 45-day moratorium on new data center development.
A moratorium is the first step towards a ban – it would give Richmond time to study the impacts of data centers and decide what protections our community needs before new projects move forward. We are organizing for a packed City Hall, strong Richmond public comment, and a visible show of community support.
5:00 PM: Community dinner
5:30 PM: Rally
6:00 PM: City Council meeting
Come early for food, campaign signs, patches, and materials. After the rally, we’ll head into City Hall together for the hearing and public comment. You can participate by attending the rally, giving public comment, bringing friends and neighbors, or simply filling a seat and staying through the vote.
Our immediate demand is clear: Pass the 45-day data center moratorium.
Can’t attend in person? Email cityclerkdept@ci.richmond.ca.us or give live public comment remotely via zoom (more info coming soon)
