350 East Bay Monthly Meeting

Join us on Zoom for the monthly 350 East Bay Meeting. Our goal is work for a just transition to a clean energy future, starting right here at home.  Here are some of the issues we work on:

  • Clean Air (focus on the Bay Area Air District and on clean indoor air)
  • Clean Energy (working to push Ava to provide more affordable clean energy, and to push for alternatives to PG&E)
  • Fossil Fuel Resistance – opposition to exporting coal from Oakland and to expanding the Oakland airport
  • Legislative – working with 350 Bay Area Action on key State bills
  • Supporting city climate actions such as the Oakland Climate Action Health Check list (see below)
  • Promoting building electrification– heat pumps, solar panels, EV chargers, induction stoves, electrical panels– sharing lessons with each other
  • Identifying upcoming actions and how to get involved

Tool: Oakland Climate Action Health Check

350 Oakland Hub members have created the Climate Action Health Check as an easy to understand tool to help visualize the ways the city is and could be taking action on climate through specific policies. It also serves to track progress over time and mark areas of greater priority.

For resources around these issues, check out the Climate Action Resource List.
