RISE Wrap-Up

THE NUMBERS

30,000 people marched in San Francisco from Embarcadero to Civic Center on September 8th! Together, we demanded real climate leadership: a swift transition to a just, equitable, and resilient 100% renewable energy economy that protects vulnerable communities, workers, and future generations.

ACTIONS

At the resource fair, we had a team of 17 clipboard volunteers who gathered 800+  petition signatures against tailpipe emmissions.

  1. Sign the petition here
  2. Leave a comment here – deadline October 5th!

ART

We made THE LARGEST street mural the world has ever seen. See the drone footage Facebook video here.

THE ACTIVISM CONTINUES…

GCAS just started (Sept. 12th) and there are still many events to attend.

See all the RISE and GCAS alternative events here, where you can also submit your own related event:

THE VOLUNTEERS

Leading up to RISE, we worked with a team of 4 designer volunteers and 9 banner volunteers who helped advertise RISE over key bridges in Berkeley, San Fransciso, and Marin. Not two mention the 2 billboards in Oakland and on Dumbarton bridge!

Bannering volunteers in Berkeley who reported many supportive honks from cars!
