Making a REAL SF Climate Emergency Plan

NEW NEW UPDATE The first hearing on the Climate Emergency plan has been rescheduled again.  It will be on Monday July 22 (not July 29).  Come help work our activity at the hearing and on the plan.

The climate crisis demands swift action.

Here’s the city Environment Department’s timeline for managing the climate emergency. In a few weeks the Department of the Environment will submit a report describing the city’s GHG situation and what is currently being done. Next will come one or more hearings as the Supervisors lay out a plan to bring the city’s greenhouse gas emissions down sharply. We need to get behind the planners and push for real, prompt action to cut our GHG emissions to less than half by 2030 and zero by 2045.

“Keep doing what we’re doing” is not an option! Come join the teams planning the work with city elected and appointed officials to electrify our town with clean energy.
