Join the largest food recovery of the year!
Tuesday, January 21, 2020 @ 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm
On January 21, 2020, Food Recover Network (FRN) will recover more than 30,000 pounds of food from the Winter Fancy Food Show at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA. The Winter Fancy Food Show, hosted by Specialty Food Association, is a large-scale private event where food vendors display their latest products to buyers from around the country. At the end of the three-day event, FRN will lead more than 100 volunteers to recover excess food from the trade show. All of the recovered food will be donated to Delancey Street Foundation, a hunger-fighting nonprofit partner in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Last year FRN recovered 33,273 pounds of food and this year, with your help, we hope to increase that number. It would be wonderful to have a group of volunteers join us from 350 Bay Area. If you’re interested in coordinating a volunteer group, please let me know and I’ll be happy to assist. Please register to volunteer here!
Join us Tuesday, January 21, 3-8pm for volunteer training and the food recovery
Food, beverages, and volunteer t-shirts will be provided!
Must be 18 years or older to participate (no exceptions, even with adult supervision)
