An evening with Mary DeMocker author of THE PARENT’S GUIDE TO CLIMATE REVOLUTION: 100 Ways to Build a Fossil-Free Future, Raise Empowered Kids, and Still Get a Good Night’s Sleep
Tuesday, February 25 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Earth Day Climate Strikes are fast approaching and young people will be leading the world in taking action to demand real solutions in the climate crisis. Teens and young adults have been doing a great job of providing a moral compass on this issue. How do we support climate justice leadership among our elementary school students, as well?Join two BUSD elementary moms who are backing the leadership of their kids, and Mary DeMocker, the mom who literally wrote the playbook for parents to engage in this work. We are hoping to build a network of BUSD parents who are supporting elementary school students, teachers, and staff to have climate activism at all our K-5 schools. BUSD elementary parents are especially encouraged to come so we can network, but EVERYONE is welcome, parents, grandparents, non-parents, regardless of the city you live in. This event is FREE and open to the public.
Mary DeMocker writes, speaks, and teaches workshops about how we can build a healthy, just, and fun future — while deepening our connections to one another.
