Join us on Zoom for the monthly 350 East Bay Meeting 

Our goal is to maximize climate action in the East Bay, working for a just transition to a clean energy economy here and beyond.

Draft Agenda:

1. Icebreaker question–What gives you hope for the new year?
2. Recap some of what has happened since we last met in October:

–October 29 mural painting and march in SF

–Nov 6 march and demo at UC Berkeley

–Glasgow COP Oct 31 – Nov 12

–Nov 19 Final CEMTF summit including Barbara Lee, Pamela Price, Paul Koretz and more.  I recommend the watching the whole summit, but especially Paul Koretz’s talk  

–December 18–hike with 350 East Bay thru Berkeley campus

–Joe Manchin pulls the plug on Build Back Better–around xmas–Thanks a lot for the xmas present, Joe! 

–I’m sure there’s lots more I missed!

3. State budget has a lot of money for climate (Kathy)

4. Actions that people can take

–solar tax comments to Newsom’s office

–Calif Solar Rights alliance

5. Transit equity Day Feb 4–coalition; event at AC transit HQ now virtual; show support for transit and for transit workers;

6. Ideas going forward:

what we hope to accomplish this year–legislative, electoral, personal, in our East Bay Communities, . . .  

Plus how do we do outreach to people wanting to get involved in climate action.

Berkeley using American Rescue money passed last February, money now being allocated
