Art has a lot of power in the fight against the climate crisis. So, on the Monday of Earth week, we will be showcasing bold art for the climate. You are invited to either submit art, come to the (virtual) event, or both!  Anyone can be an artist, so we invite artists of all different skill levels to submit art for the show.

350 Bay Area has teamed up with Extinction Rebellion for a fun event at Snow Park in Oakland. Dust off your stilts, put on an animal onesie, bring out your pots and pans, and come celebrate our hard work towards climate regeneration and environmental justice. Connect with community and a shared vision for change.

350 Bay Area’s youth-led Mobilizing Team has a FUN day planned at Ocean Beach. Bring books, plant cuttings, or other things that honor earth day day and you’d be willing to trade with others. Well have live music and good vibes so come thru and relax and heal with your community!

Power Shift is bringing together thousands of young people (virtually) to build critical skills to halt climate catastrophe.

Power Shift connects individual activists to form a network of trained organizers. Since 2007, national and regional Power Shift convergences have motivated and inspired young climate leaders to dedicate themselves to fighting for justice for the long haul. Together, we can shape an equitable and just future, along with the paths we take to get there.

Wild and Scenic Film Fest

April 23 – 27

CCL Alameda County Chapter is hosting the virtual on-line Wild and Scenic Film Festival for Earth Day.

This year’s program features films about frontline communities fighting for environmental justice and restoration and will be held on Earth Day, April 22, at 7 PM. In addition, attendees will receive a bonus session of on-demand access to five films about “Wildlife at the Edge” featuring the full-length, award-winning film, “Entangled” about the effort to save endangered Right Whales.  You can see information on all twenty of the films for the festival here.  All of the films will be available for streaming April 23 – April 27.
