You may not know that the 350 Bay Area and Bay Area Action volunteer ranks include extremely experienced retired public health officials (climate harming emissions travel with toxic air pollution). Many of us are thinking about how we can prepare for whatever happens with the spread of the new coronavirus. It’s important to talk with our family members and prepare now for steps we can take to stay healthy, protect our loved ones, and get ready for public health measures that may be called for as the virus spreads, such as closing schools, modifying workplaces and transit and limiting large gatherings.  Keep in touch with your county public health department and the California health department  for specific recommendations as the situation evolves.

San Francisco’s Dept of Public Health has a good overview, and we also found a helpful fact sheet out of King County in Washington State. Here is the link for Sonoma County.
